Dr. Ratna Bilwani was a source of inspiration, motivation, a mentor and a guiding light for thousands of patients, parents, students and individuals.

With a sagacious understanding of human psyche, an excellent command on the brain, a mindset of practical problem solving, and a career embellished with several honours and accolades she dedicated her life to the mental well being of people through her genius and generosity. A gold medalist from Pt. J.N.M. Medical College, Raipur, Dr. Bilwani topped her M.D. in Psychiatry, from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1977.

In 1985, she set up her Child Guidance Clinic in Khanpur, Ahmedabad, which later would grow to become Better We . Despite a psychiatrist herself, Dr. Bilwani never was a proponent of medication unless inevitable. She always used to tell, It's better to build a child, than to repair a man.

Being a staunch believer of sharing knowledge for the greater good, alongside her practice, she presented several papers, authored books, professed, gave TV & Radio talks, was a faculty, lecturer, teacher and advisor, who mentored, taught and counselled numerous medical institutes, colleges, schools, social organisations and companies, across a diverse spectrum of subjects.

The journey with our one-and-only, our role model, our beloved and afflatus - Dr. Ratna Bilwani ceased with her sad demise on January 06, 2017.

We, like so many more souls, live on with the cherished memories of our times.
